A COURTYARD GARDEN
This project is a testament to the fact that you don't need an acre of land to create a series of beautiful oases. For this residential project, the clients wanted to create an English cottage-style garden that would showcase a wide variety of plants and serve as a verdant retreat. G2 designed a plan that creates distinct spaces: a dining courtyard for eating and hosting, an intimate garden space for reading and relaxing, and a bluestone terrace for comfortable seating and socializing. The side yard was enlarged to the length of the house by extending a stone wall and fence. In the front yard, a low stone wall was built along the sidewalk to help with erosion problems and to elevate and frame the front garden. Avid gardeners, entertainers, seasonal decorators, and lovers of the outdoors, the owners of the property wanted to take advantage of every inch of their site.
